About City

Edinburgh is Scotland's minimized, hilling capital. The site of the city of Edinburgh was first named as "Castle Rock". The name "Edinburgh" is supposed to start from the early English of "Edwin's fort", alluding to the seventh century King Edwin of Northumbria. It has a medieval Old Town and rich Georgian New Town with gardens and neoclassical structures. Approaching over the city is Edinburgh Castle, home to Scotland's crown jewels and the Stone of Destiny, utilized in the crowning celebration of Scottish rulers. Arthur's Seat is an overwhelming top in Holyrood Park with clearing perspectives, and Calton Hill is topped with landmarks and remembrances.
